Coorg is a favourite destination for trekkers keen on exploring the area on foot. There are a number of picnic spots in Coorg that include the beautiful Abbey Falls. Some of the places are Tadevendamol, the highest peak in the region is best for trekking. Nagarhole National Park is an ideal place for wildlife enthusiasts. The origin of the River Kaveri. Talakaveri isin the Brahmagiri hills, about 4,500 ft above sea level. The river emerges as a small perennial spring, but flows underground again to emerge a short distance away. If you reach there you can enjoy the breez in the Brahmagiri hills.

This is mainly an elephant-capturing and training camp of the Forest Department, at the edge of Dubare forest, on the bank of the river Kaveri, on the Kushalanagara - Siddapur road. Wild elephants are captured from the forest and trained here with the help of tame Forest Department elephants.
